Excuse my ignorance (I’m an old infantry grunt) thick as a whale meat sandwich. Can I do this through my iPad as I don’t have a mobile. Cheers
Hi, yes along as you download the hiksight app you can pair a iPad same as a phone.
@@TheNightVisionShow picked one up this morning and did an update. Worked a treat, many thanks.
When you use the thermal camera do you see with both eyes or it's like a monocular attached to other one?
Hi it's called PIP picture in picture so you can have a thermal pip at the top of a main day image. or any other way you like.
Great until the internal battery starts to deplete then there will be a glut of them on ebay.😂
Il y a une batterie externe de type 18650
Hi with up to 11 hours of continuous operation there is now issue in that department, and with a 3 sec boot up time just leave it off until its time to shoot.
What mounts are you using please?
Hi in this vid they are the innomounts but I would recommend thesewww.scottcountry.co.uk/products/britannia-qr
When you get a notification of movement can you open it to view live feed on your phone ? Thanks
Unfortunately no, not a live feed but can get a almost instant notification with a time stamp pic or video.
@@TheNightVisionShow thanks for your reply, do you know if there are any that you can view live ? Thanks
Stsrted with the Zulus 3x12 and then tried the alpex. The Zulus went the same day 🤣
Alpex really is hard to beat.
All the tech is that good nowadays fox numbers are massively in decline and coming from someone who’s been involved in hunting and shooting all my life it really is very sad times being honest.
Really we will never wipe out fox's
It was managed in the past on other species without the tech equipment,
@@williamdouglas2393 correct 👍 but the massive decline in fox numbers correlates perfectly with the increase in popularity of rifle shooting then the increase in availability and affordability of decent night vision then the availability and affordability of decent thermal. What’s going on nowadays is nothing more than mass unsustainable persecution of native wildlife! Also there is no sport no fieldcraft snd very little skill involved! I just don’t get the buzz myself and there’s people out there that can’t sleep if they think there’s a fox knocking about. Very very sad times ! It’s enough to turn hunters into antis !
Got one of these and the Zulus, unfortunately the cheaper one is the better scope
both great scopes in two different designs. most people want a 30mm main tube but some want a head up style scope.
Great scope def going to upgrade, what ir are you using with it 👍
In the description comes with it the evo 50 if you chose that package.
Alpex is awesome nice NV scope
we think so too
No and by a long way. Stop astroturfing.
Sorry you might have to explain this one to us?
Not really much to say, go and look at some quality products put out by Trijicon as an example. This stuff is made where, former FSU and PRC?
@@VK6AB- Pulsar is made in Europe in Lithuania and Latvia. HikMicro is made in China with a UK service centre.
I've used the safran jim compact, which is astounding but a bit of an over kill. These are acceptable still at a cost that people are able to swallow. However, a compact at around 40k gbp the only winner would be the person who bought it of my wife, when I'm dead for 500 quid as I hid the receipt 😂
@@TheNightVisionShow Correct former FSU (Lithuania) and PRC (China).
Another great clip from SCI, real life footage of the latest thermal imaging technology.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it..
@@TheNightVisionShow Its not even close to the latest thermal technology.
@@VK6AB- Thats an interesting comment, as at this price point it is VERY MUCH the latest technology. Sure we have HD sensors in models costing substantially more but most are considerably higher NETD. What would your shout out be?
@@TheNightVisionShow No its not - not even close. Put the specs up lol. This is low end consumer crap.
Would be useful if you actually went at a pace a human can follow!
Just press pause bro
Hi. this one is made by Hikicro there are others guides on our channel.
Good clarity but i wouldn’t buy a scope without lrf built in
Hi, most people have a lrf on there hand held spotter so don't need a lrf in the scope,.
Spoke to a hikmicro rep and asked if they had plans to release one with an lrf. He said not for this model but they will be releasing on in the future with an LRF but it will have the new 1024 sensor so it's going to be pricey
Be nice to get some ranges of distances on these vides to help discern what it’s like ?
check our channel there are some stellar foxing vids on there
The binoculars thermal and visible in the same time ?.
yes can set them up to be pip to show both.
1200 i think is only Day time model
Hi Tim I think i know the answer to this but will ask anyway. Does the balistic calculator automatically compensate for 'angle' (given that the scope features an inclinometer). I ask, as ive recently had a couple of very questionable 200 meter misses with shots taken from a significant angle. Shots taken from a very steady 'prone' position off a bipod, with a low recoil 17 Hornet, with NO wind etc... so easy shots! NOT bad ammo and im pretty sure its not shooters error.
Morning, it's something thats been said, I have used mine on high shots and it's been bang on. but will report back and let you know.
@TheNightVisionShow Much apreciated. You would imagine the scope does factor in angle, but like I say, I've had two or three questionable misses. Possibly oddball 'bad rounds'... possibly 'shooters error' but all have been at steep angles (I'm talking 40+ feet above the target at 200 meters, so quite a steep angle, where trigonometry would start to play a part). Cheers
Could i ask why you have changed from innomount quick release rings to another brand of rings? Cheers
Hi, had the innomount on a different test scope.
Thermals are cool. But totally ruining deer hunting in Aus.
Hi, thanks for the comment, they are just tools provided for people to carry out there jobs.
What's interesting is seeing the pellet heat bloom on the target
Hi yer using a wood Target board really helps sell the impact.
Where fod u get the 3d printed mags pl
will ask and find out.
the was from eBay
So what’s the difference between it and the V2 TL 35
Hi, it has the new OLED Round Display and a better NETD sensor.
@@TheNightVisionShow Awesome, hopefully it will come soon to US. I have v2 35 and it’s good scope.
@@TheNightVisionShowI think your specs you talked about is from v2 as this v3 has sub<20 mk and 2560x2560 display and base mag of 4x according to infiray.
@@ngaoutdoors4157 Yeah Joe made a slight mistake, he is posting an update video soon, apologies!
@@TheNightVisionShow Enjoy the videos! Thanks
Model of scope please ?
Hi, it the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XP50. www.scottcountry.co.uk/products/pulsar-thermion-2-lrf-xp50-pro-thermal-riflescope
Sorry posted when I left unattended. Re-below question regarding moving reticle. On center reticle my Alpex 4K only moves back into middle of screen when zoomed into 7x mag plus? I have center reticle mode turned on.
Morning, even with centre ret on as it's a digital device it may be off on some rifles. could try change the scope hight or zero distance and let the bc do the rest of the work.
Hi Team, Is there a reason the reticle is high & right off centre when on 3.5 base magnification? I’ve adjusted to center
select centralise ret in the menu
How would you compare this to the merger 50xl? Same quality but in a monoscope?
Hi, they are the same 1024x768 sensor but the Telos xl looks a lot sharper on full zoom over the Merger xl on first impressions. will let you know after some more field testing.
@@TheNightVisionShow appreciate the feedback. I've been holding on a purchase and have been looking at both options. Could it be the smoothing filter setting?
I’m based in Bedfordshire but willing to travel 👍
Shame you couldn’t arrange for set up days for these bits of kit at a local range 🤔
what part of the country are you located ?
brilliant timing just ordered one and it should be in the store wednesday 19th June 2024.
give us a shout if you get stuck
I just got the lynx pro10,fantastic bit of kit,no need for any more expensive kit, this coupled with the outstanding infiray t2 pro in the gun mount,no need for more expensive kit!
Hi,thats why there is a model to suit every ones needs and budget
Hi, does the ballistic calculator take into account the angle you are shooting at, ie steep uphill with a sub12? Thanks
Hi, it doesnt take into account angle I am afraid no.
Fantastic video you’ve saved my life 👍🦊
Glad it helped alway happy to help
Hey mate, can you manually adjust windage and elevation with the alpex for fine zeroing? Thanks.
The X and Y coordinates are both adjustable for fine tuning. The one shot zero system allows for fine adjustment once zeroed.
Those rats and pigeons better get evolving
they can't hide thats for sure.
Im still really impressed with mine. Lol... both lads I shoot with have shelled out having seen mine in action. Lol... almost alien when I had to dial in 'old school' on the .243 last week 😂... just cant beat real glass in the daytime though once you go out past 250 yards or so.
Hi, digital scopes will never compare, but not far off we have seen them being used well out over 500 yards.
Really distracting captions
We try to assist everyone with enjoying the content.
@@TheNightVisionShow they are very distracting, I can't watch the videos for too long. You should try to follow the standards so that they can be turned on/off as required
Charging scopes ( or ANY lithium ion battery is not best done over night. It should always be done when you are present and in a place where if it does go pop, you can action or at least, get out. I have been using lith for years and I have never seen any of my cells go into runaway but if it does, you don't want to be close. On board, you have no choice but still take precautions. If your doing 18650's or other size cells, then best use an intelligent charger ( like the one supplied by HIK). Cheapo cells and cheapo charges are not your friends. Over charging is bad. Over discharging is very bad.
cool some good info there.
The reason why some don't update is because an update can add features you don't want or more likely, amend or delete features you do like. It can be a catch 22. An update can also contain errors so what worked fine changes.
hi thanks for the comment. thats fine each to there own but 9/10 times the people that dont do update are the ones that have issues with the scopes.
Which do you prefer . The Habrok or Merger
hi, they each have there own place, for Prue thermal image quality the merger xl can't be beat. but for all round 24 hour use the habroks have to be the most usable device.
@@TheNightVisionShow I've ordered the Habrok 4k
Hopefully, one day, they'll update the scope to use yards & FPS on the ballistic menu 🙄😴
Threes a lot more they need to do and could do on the software onboard and the app

Does restore not restore it back to the factory settings for if you was going to I.e sell it ? Any help much appreciated Thank you in advance Mitch
hello, after every update you need to do a restore for the new firmware to take effect. it won't lose your zero info, but will clear the BC data so its worth taking note of that. and it will return all the settings to factory like OSD and smart ir etc
